Against this backdrop, Guinea is emerging as a regional hub for financial innovation and digital growth. The country will host the third edition of the Guinea Fintech Week (GFW2025) on October 22–23, 2025, at the Riviera Royal Hotel in Conakry, under the theme: “Building the Digital Finance of Tomorrow in West Africa.”
While Anglophone Africa has long led the way in mobile money and fintech adoption, the Francophone region is rapidly catching up.
From neobanks and cross-border payments to crypto, stablecoins, and startup financing, momentum is building up so are the challenges of interoperability, regulation, and capital access.
With strong political will, a fast-growing tech ecosystem, and a new generation of entrepreneurs, Guinea is positioning itself as a platform for regional convergence.
GFW2025 will host over 1,500 participants, including 45 speakers from across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, along with 25 high-growth startups showcasing innovations in payments, blockchain, digital lending, regtech, and more.
